Learning for Little Ones - building a big tower

I bought Emma some Mega Bloks on a garage sale for $3 and she loves building things with them. They are the perfect size for her and after some practice, she can now put them together and take them apart pretty easily. I'm sure it's teaching her good hand-eye coordination! Our latest fun with blocks is building big towers. Most of the time she doesn't build very stable towers, but that's okay.

I've been trying to teach her the colors of the blocks, but everything still is blue. Because of her blue chair. Or blue-white. Because of the neighbors' white dog. Which are both things I've referred to exclusively as the "blue chair" or the "white dog". We need to get something where she can match the colors...like a puzzle. Add it to her wish list!!

The blocks are good for chewing on, also. Although she is getting better at not putting everything in her mouth.
