I love Emma's pacifier is because it helps her sleep. I think. I'm sure she could sleep without it, but we haven't tried that yet. But her paci works great if we're out somewhere and she is sad because I told her she couldn't eat the blue crayon. Pop it in and she's muted. It works well when she's sick, too. When she's sick, she would rather lay in bed with her pacifier than rock in the chair with me. More sleep for me.
Emma's pacifier is a
Gumdrop pacifier. My mom got it for her when she was born. We've since gotten 3 more and lost 1. (A math problem!) So we're down to 3 pacifiers. She does look a little funny with it in, but we've gotten used to it. My dad used to call it a peace pipe. Exactly.

I have never seen those before. I could not be more pro-pacifier. I wean around 3 years which is possibly a bit too late, but I can't live without them. I mean my kids can't...
