After discussing marriage during spring break, we were back in school for a couple months and then were apart for the summer. K was 4 hours away at his parent's house. We "talked" quite a bit on ICQ. And every once in a while would actually talk on the phone.
We did see each other, too. My parents surprised me by taking a vacation to the Black Hills and dropping me off at K's parent's house on the way.
K bought the Ring sometime during the summer and he had to come to a town about an hour away from where my parent's live to get the one he wanted. So my mom drove me there and we saw each other for a few hours. And I did see the ring, too.
K proposed to me the night before classes began in his room. If you read the beginning, you'll remember that we met in his room the night before classes started the year before. We got married in August of the next year.
Just 3 short months after his brother got married. I skipped a whole year, but really most of that was college classes and some wedding planning...I know. Our love story isn't all that exciting - no breakups or cheating or anything. But I guess that's okay, too!
