So it's Fall then

I can't believe how chilly it is outside today. What happened to the nice 60 or low 70 degree weather. Please come back.

I do love most of the fall weather. The changing trees, morning walks, crisp evenings, hot chocolate. Last year, Emma and I went to an orchard mid-September and picked apples and gourds. It was a lot of fun. And that's not to mention the apple crisp and apple pie that we enjoyed after that trip. I hope to make it a yearly outing.

And fall means football season. I am not a die-hard fan, but I do like to watch it. Since we live in Nebraska, we cheer for the Huskers! And wear red on game days. I also happen to cheer for whatever NFL team I feel like on any given day. But not the Jets...sorry, I-can't-make-up-my-mind-quarterback.

I enjoy Thanksgiving, too. Most every year, we travel to one side of the family and have a great time. I always eat too much and then have to spend the next morning shopping to walk it off. Or something like that. I do love the Friday shopping. Last year, we actually traveled to see my family (about 3 hours away) on Thanksgiving day as we had some sort of stomach bug the day before and weren't sure if we'd even make it to Thanksgiving dinner. But thankfully we made it.

What do you like about fall?

I LOVE Fall! Football, apple crisp, sweaters and jeans, cooler weather but no winter coats. Leaves turning colors and falling off the trees. Fall leaf pictures...it's my favorite time of year!
