She was scared of the pool at first. I put her in and she stayed right by the side. She kept squeezing the top ring like she wasn't sure what it was!
It was a good way for her to learn about water. She was pouring water out of the containers I'd given her to play with and kicking her feet and splashing. Of course, she's done those things in the bathtub, too, but this was a whole new dimension with more water! I showed her how to splash the lawn and how when I pushed down on the side of the pool the water flowed out. (Probably not a good idea to show the older kids!) I hope she's also learning not to be afraid of the water so I can take her to a bigger kiddie pool some time this summer!
When I'd ask her if she wanted to get out, she'd shake her head "no". She loved playing in the pool.

We miss you cousin Emma. Your pool looks like fun. We have one too but Aunt Makila left the slide part outside and it blew away. You'll have to try out our pool next time you visit.
Love,
S, D & L
